The new year has not been kind so far

It doesn't seem to be getting any better

You know when you start thinking too much over something so little?

You're not doing anyone and yourself a favor by doing that

My thought process is probably at its most complicated

And when you're trying to process everything at the same time

You get this messy tangled ball of thoughts that you can't unwind

I would love to blame it all on the constant hormonal changes

It has been a year since my dad left us

And you'd think by now things are easy and good

But that one year seems to have just passed in a flash

And i'm thinking if the first year was hard enough to get by

then how would the coming years be like?

Its hard to watch kids riding bikes with their dads at the park

moms taking evening walks with their daughters

because it sucks knowing I won't have that anymore

just the whole idea of a family

it disappears along with it

I know people say that they're always going to be there for you

But i guess sometimes i need them to be physically here

because it really isn't just the same

(It just doesn't get more pathetic than that does it?)

and everyday i keep telling myself the above.

And so just like that, 2010 is over and 2011 begins.

To be honest, it doesn't really feel like a new year.
It's just isn't as exciting as before.

2010 brought a lot of tears.
A stab to the heart with a major loss.
How do you get back from that?
Life just goes on, that's how.

2010 also showed how i've got a bunch of amazing friends
a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on.
it's comforting to know that you've got people you can rely on
people who has your back
and without them, i'd probably be lost.
and for that,

2011 brings possibilities.
But right now, it's just a blur
and crossroads really.
can't deny how much i fear the unknown.

But, can't help but be optimistic about things.
or at least try to.
because as cliche as this might sound
you don't know what the future will bring us.

Most of the time,

its so much more easier to say that you're alive than saying you're not here anymore.

Because then, there's this awkward silence that follows,

when the other person scrambles in their mind trying to think of something to say next

while still in shock on what they've just heard.

and most of the time the first thing that comes into their minds

is an "oh."

its not the type of "oh" that you'd use for, for an oh really? moment

its the type that says "that's so sad"

but sometimes the lines are blurred with these two meanings

"I'm sorry to here that" follows.

and then another awkward silence.

In this moment I'd probably be holding myself back from tearing up

because having to utter those words in the first place was hard enough

and even though that silence could only be five seconds or ten

it would be just enough time for me to have a flashback.

A change of topic comes next to shake of the awkwardness

though some would continue on to know more

So when someone asks what does your father do?

I'd just answer "Oh, he's in the bla bla bla"

because its just so much more easier than having to go through all that

Its easier when its with a semi-stranger of course.

Because honestly, I am an awful liar to begin with.

So I couldn't decide if i wanted a contemporary house or a balinese inspired one for my future home.

Then, I stumbled upon villas.

Perfect combination between contemporary and balinese!

So here's a rough idea on how i'd love my home to look like.

The front of the house is still abit rough.

But this villa designed by Peerutin Architects is something how I envision my house would be like.

spacious, private, pool and cosy.

My dreams are getting more depressing more than ever these days.

Sometimes I wake up feeling so tired even after countless hours of sleep.

Its probably the lethargicness of it all.

But its starting to get a little bit annoying when u wake up feeling tired after a bad dream.

Its just not a way to start your day.

Last night I dreamt that we were all waiting around for my grandpa to fly off at the airport.

And by fly off i mean die.

The airport was just some metaphor that he's leaving.

The waiting around was hard, because you know he's going to leave you but there's nothing you can do to stop it.

When the plane finally took off, there was that sharp pain to your heart that hits you.

Because, it hurts.

And I realized the day before was his birthday.

So the dream was kinda like a friendly reminder.

There's this moment during one of his hospital stays, as I was leaving to go home after a visit

my grandpa shouts to me "I love you!"

I turned around and put a brave smile and shouted back "I love you too!"

and he turns around to the neighboring patient and said happily "That's my cucu!"

I tried hard to not cry because I didn't want him to see me cry.

That moment I was just praying he could just be better and come home.

He did.

It was just one of those unexpected moments that impacts you so much.
Thinking back all these memories we had, I miss my grandpa so much.

When relatives come over to stay

I'll always remember when i was older, I bought you Missy Elliot's and Eminem's cd for your bday

I was really looking forward to you watching me graduate,

was for you

Can someone enlighten me on why life is so hard complicated?

The only thing that's driving me to a pulling a white flag on life

is when everyone around me doesn't think i can do it

and it sometimes get a little overwhelming when some expects a little too much from me.

This morning my cousin called in the early hours of the morning

okay it was at 9 lah, still early.

and the last time she did that was when my uncle passed

I didn't bother picking up the call cuz i was just too sleepy

but it did run through my mind, hoping there was no other death

but 10 minutes later my brother came into the room and said our aunty passed.

That's the one question i dread in conversations

when really I myself dread when I ask myself the same question

Honest to god, I don't know. I really don't

The prospect of working for the rest of my life after graduating is one thing

thinking about what I wanna do is another.

I want to be able to enjoy my work, not dread it when i wake up every morning

but life isn't that simple.

After paying the bills today (and mopped, vacuum the house, picked up dry cleaners & do the laundry, damn i feel like a housewife already. My husband is going to be lucky. cheyyy)

anyways after paying the bills i realize damn someone in this house needs to get a job.

seems that i can't really be choosy when it comes to getting a job

because the important thing right now is for me to survive and not really for a somesort of job satisfaction

thing is i need to work extra hard now to keep the house

repairs are one thing, keeping it clean is another

i need to prove to everyone else i'm capable of taking care of this house

cuz moving out for me is really not an option, not for now at least

back to figuring out what i wanna do,

i'd probably love if i could be some sort of a designer or some kind

probably design a magazine

because secretly i kinda enjoyed publication design =]

but the one thing i hate is all the pressure

i hate it when i've got to design something on the spot

im the type of person who sits back, listen to some music, go thru websites for some inspiration

and at the same time when i look at all the other talent out there, and then i look and the stuff i do

i think noob much?
and then i think maybe if i took a specialized course instead
i'd probably wouldn't have this problem

i can't be choosy at this point

but im still trying to find that thing

Langkawi was a great getaway.

I was spoiled silly by my family

and I spoiled myself a little really.

I felt guilty, but then again I freakin deserve it

after what i've been through and what i will go through when i get back

and when i did come home, all that crappy feeling just came back

now that i don't. i gotta face it and do my time.

then i'd realize it and then it just sucks.

Sitting at home doing nothing is really not the best way to go

Sometimes I'd think if God ended my life right now, he would be doing me a favor.

With an 8am final paper the next day,

Stereophonics were AWESOME.

The whole band was.

He is beautiful in real life /swoon

Though I wished there was abit more interaction with the crowd

But they deserved an award for going on song after song

They played probably more that 20 songs non stop

Too bad they didn't play I Miss You Now

but heck it.
They are awesome live, sounded exactly in the cds.

You know when they say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger?
I hope by stronger means, you'll be immune to any sort of feeling in this world.
Because the only way you can ever be strong is to not feel.

When you think, you feel and when you feel, you hurt.

I think its a shame, that nobody can ever truly feel how the other person feels.
It makes it hard for you to understand why someone is acting that way.
On the other hand, it makes it so hard for you to tell someone something, because they will never truly understand what you're going through
They'll say things you don't want to hear, they'll say things that doesn't make sense and in the worst possible scenario they completely change the subject. Leaving you stranded with all this emotions pent up in you.

Yes, its been 3 effing months. and yes, I still cry myself to sleep every single night.
Because its not easy and only god know if it will ever be.
Because every single time it gets a tiny bit easier, i trip and fall again
You want me to be strong? tell me how. tell me how can I be strong.

Harsh reality

Yesterday I was forcefully introduced to the harsh reality of the consequences of not having parents anymore
Before, I couldn't wait to be free and independent, to move out and live on my own.
Make my own rules and not be bounded to others.

Now, besides the part where i've moved out, i kinda got what i wanted.
Living on my own, no one to tell me what I can and cannot do.

But the worst part is, there's no longer anyone to catch you when you fall.

All decisions I make now, everything will fall back on me.
If i made a wrong decision in life, I would have to suffer the consequences
I will have to suffer all the regret on my own,

Im not saying everytime there's a problem you run back to your parents and let them deal with it.
But there is this sort of security that you feel, when you make a decision and you've got this support system behind you.
and you just know that you've got someone rooting behind you all the way.

Money, work, life... I've have to think about it seriously now
not that i've never taken it seriously before.
But now, i'm responsible for my own decisions and future.
I don't have that support system that I had previously before.
I can't say I want to do something just because I want too.
I need to really consider it all, weigh the pros and cons of every big decision i make.

Because now when I think about it, no one else will help me make a decision in my best interest.

Doesn't that make you feel so much more alone then ever now?

Yes, Kimi Raikonnen is no longer racing in the F1

Its one of the greatest lost in the F1 racing world.

though he now races in the World Rally. Its still not the same.

Its been a month and a half since.

Where did time go?

It seems like it was just yesterday.

I still can't accept what happened because really,

How can it happen?

I remember that one time when i came back from visiting atuk's and mum's graves,

and i told a friend,

I can't lose anyone else. I've lost too many people already.

and then it happened.

I'd think hey, is god punishing me?

am I really that bad of a person?

cause seriously if i am, do tell me

before someone else gets taken away from me.

Sometimes I feel maybe i do deserve all this pain

because I wasn't a good enough daughter for not taking your sickness seriously.

I was so mad when you were sick

even though I knew its not your fault, you couldn't help it

Should you have gone for the surgery i keep thinking

cause maybe that could have avoided it

But truth be told, the only reason I was mad because

I didn't want to lose you like how I lost mum.

I think now if i could just stop being mad

I could've used that time and spend happy moments with you.

Sometimes i feel guilty because I forget that you're not here anymore.

But then I get reminded when i pass your empty bedroom every single time i go to mine

And switching off you bedroom lights every night is probably the hardest thing I have to do

because it reminds me you're not there anymore.

And then that one day, i was talking to your friend and he said the week before when you called him you said something

you told him you don't think that you'd be alive much longer

that's what atuk always said when he was in his last days

I guess you knew it was going to happen soon

But I didn't

and i don't know what would have been worst

The only good thing in this pile of crap is that you no longer suffer

But now its my turn.

Most of the things I do and avoid doing was so you would be proud of me

So, kawan sejati called saying she has news that would make me happy.

The things that came into my mind were Zac, chocolates, food. u know the usual things that make me happy.

Till she said Friendster gave us tickets to Ne-Yo the day before the concert!

Iv been wanting to go but i just didnt have any moolah to buy the tickets.

So, mana tak happy kan?

We managed to grab some dinner before the concert because we all know concerts only starts 1-2 hours then the stated time.

Concert buddy, trying to tie a cherry stem into a knot (note the determination)....she failed though T_T

1) Finally got back the car after being in the shop for 2 freakin months

2) Dad texted the next day saying he sold the car (OH YEAHH THANKS DAD T_T)

3) Test drive a Neo and fell in love immediately

4) But dad and bro are pushing for a Myvi. KAMAN AR

5) Sent frens off to the airport, again.

6) I've got 1.13gb of new songs to listen too

7) Went to Ne-Yo's concert and found the perfect man

I wont know who its for until i accept the job.

But the main reason was not because I didn't have time.

It was more to the I-dont-think-im-good-enough.

To think that because of such mentality,

i slammed the door in the face of opportunity when it came knocking.

To think of all the endless possibilities.

I want so badly for that mentality to change.

I want to do something about that.

I need to do something about that really.

decided to have some breakfast at Chillax at the Wisma E&C building.

Woke up super duper early, sebab semangat nak makan breakfast (y)

Considering how hungry i was (and always will be, sigh) i headed straight to the counter to order me some chicken ham sandwich.

omagawd im so hungry now.

Aliyyah got into some sandwhich action too.

She looks pretty happy with her tuna sandwich, as you can see.

So MTV World Stage was amazing!
everything went well, though there were a couple complications here and there, for me atleast.
i honestly never really thought i'd be given such responsibilities during my internship especially with something huge like this.
but by some miracle i managed to get through it.
those blood, tears and sweat was all worth it in the end! and papercuts :'(
imagine not being able to sleep at night because the only thing that's keeping you awake is the thought of "what have i not done?"

skip skip to the concert.

i was lucky enough to not be working, so i was able to enjoy the show in the mosh.
i swear, Doug Robb from Hoobastank is so HENSEM and hot and cute rawr.
for a moment or two i felt he was looking at me *giggles*

ahhh i cant stop smiling just thinking of it hahaha

I personally enjoyed the show, though i got waayyy too tired during kasabian..
couldnt even enjoy the after party which was such a waste..

some of you might laugh at the line up, but COME ON MAN
how often do we get that many international artist to perform IN malaysia in one night?
i say be thankful because its not often something like this comes our way, no?
